Background and motivation
Kynexis Information Security was founded in 2025 by Wouter Parent. Wouter has been active in the security sector since 2002 and has been an independent consultant since 2009. From 2013 onwards, he focused increasingly on information security, cyber security, digital risk management and board-level issues.
His approach is guided by the belief that every matter deserves careful and thorough attention. A strong sense of justice, decisiveness and personal responsibility shape how he investigates, advises and challenges clients when needed.
In 2025, Wouter Kynexis established as an independent advisory practice without any interest in IT products or management. In doing so, he brings together his experience with technical investigations, board-level risk management and implementation in one personally guided way.
Wouter has experience with SMEs, care, social care and community services, non-profit, childcare, food, manufacturing industry and logistics from his career. From Kynexis, he is currently mainly assisting social and healthcare organisations, social work, childcare and SME organisations in the manufacturing, manufacturing and logistics sectors.

Our vision
No organisation can prevent any cyber incident. State actors and professionally organised cyber criminals have a lot of knowledge, money and resources. You can minimize the risk of an incident, be well prepared for disruption and reduce the number of board-level blind spots. This creates predictability: You know what risks remain, what scenarios are prepared and where choices are needed.

Founder and Adviser
Wouter Parent is the founder and lead consultant of Kynexis and has been specialised in information security, technical investigations and board-level risk issues since 2013. His experience with training, lectures and boardroom sessions helps to discuss complex information with management, oversight and professional target groups.
Independence
IT service providers set up and manage your environment. The independent assessment is part of another party. Kynexis investigates the establishment, makes risks objectively visible and advises on the basis of the interests of your organisation.
Findings are supported by interviews, documents, configurations, technical analyses and vulnerability analyses. An up-to-date blueprint of your IT infrastructure makes systems, connections and dependencies easy to understand.
The distribution of roles with IT suppliers and specialist partners remains clear, including responsibilities and dependencies.
